The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki was built in 1962. Its collections include mainly items from Thessaloniki and Northern Greece – Antoque sculptures and pottery, objects illustrating the history of Thessaloniki, architectural parts of temples and the palace of Galerius as well as treasures of the ancient Macedonian kings.
