Place: Rasinari - 5 miles away from Sibiu

Taking place in the beautiful small village of Rasinari, an old shepherds settlement at the foothills of Cindrelul Mountain, this folk festival marks the moment when shepherds move the flocks up in the mountains. Scenes drawing inspiration from the life of the shepherds in preparation of their journey – the sheperd’s parting with his wife or sweetheart, the walking and marking of the sheep – are replicated through folk dances and songs. R??inari is connected to Sibiu by a roughly 5 mile tram line through the Dumbrava Forest.
