The Hiding of the Merrymaking (Inmormantarea Farsangulu)

The beautiful village of Rimetea in the Apuseni Mountains celebrates the last day of feast before the Easter Lent. The parade of masked lads passes through the main street of the village, followed by an allegorical cart. They knock on the gates of the houses chasing the evil spirits. The host rewards them with eggs. Afterwards, the villagers celebrate with traditional food, music and dances. While here, you will have a chance to visit the oldest working creek mill in the region.
