About the event
"Nature inspires Art and Art discovers Nature's hidden beauty". This phrase of Cicero was the one that motivated the environmental group "Clean Up Greece" to organize its ecology festival in Athens, the already famous EcoFestival, which runs for one month (May 5 to June 5, 2006). The EcoFestival is a cultural event, which brings together environment, art, music and people. In its 8th edition the festival includes a series of very interesting exhibitions and happenings.
"Clean Up Greece" established the EcoFestival in 1999, having two major goals. Τo reveal the importance of culture and to prοmote awareness and respect towards our environment. Eco Festival was created as an idea in which environment, art and culture unite in an unbreakable way. The International Festivals & Events Association Europe - IFEA, identified the Eco Festival as a unique and innovative concept. The 8th Eco Festival, maintains its European standards, and includes important and remarkable events. The revolutionary idea of Eco Festival, established a very important cultural event in Greece.
