The Mosque of Sultan Mehmed Fatih, the Mosque of Llapi and the Jashar Pasha Mosque in Pristina are among the oldest monuments on the territory of Kosovo. They provide valuable evidence about Islamic material and religious culture in this part of Southeastern Europe. They are important landmarks both in the old city centre and in modern Pristina.
The Turkish baths in Pristina are typical works of Islamic architecture. The Great Turkish Bath is in the centre of the old town of Pristina, close to the Mosque of Sultan Mehmet Fatih (15th century), the Small Turkish Baths (18th century), the Clock Tower (second half of the 19th century), and the building of the Academy of Science and Arts of Kosovo (a converted residential building from the 19th century).
