Arabati Baba Tekke, Muslim monastery complex
The tekke (a convent of the dervish-order), was built in the late 18th century by Redzep Pasha, and belonged to the most influenced dervish order – the bektashes who resided there until 1912. The tekke is comprised of several buildings used for religious ceremonies as well as for the daily activities of the dervishes - tower of prayer, dervish inn, covered fountain.
The Decorated mosque
The mosque is situated in the center of Tetovo. It was built in 1833/34 on the foundations of the older edifice, with the reminiscence of the early Constantinopolitan style. All the facades as well as the interior were decorated with geometric and floral ornaments, making this building a unique preserved monument of islamic architecture.
