The monastery church, dedicated to the Holy Mother of God Eleussa (Our Lady of Compassion) was built in 1080 by the monk Manoil, former Bishop of Strumica. This is a tetraconhal church in the ground plan, with a small chapel on the south side. The wall paintings and the floor mosaics from the period of its erection are preserved in fragments. . Among the survived frescoes is the one on the altar apse, two scenes from the cycle of the Great Feasts and the figures of the Holy Mother of God and St. John the Baptist in the dome.
