One of the most elegant church profiles with a thin tall drum over the naos, this church was built by Maxim the monk in 1542 to serve the Cozia Monastery as Hospice Chapel. Its inner space is composed of an open arched pronaos and a small naos and altar. The exterior decoration consists of tall thin arcades of brickwork and the classical 16th century mixture of bricklayers and plaster registers.
